About the Event

The Apprentice Graduation is the county's annual ceremony recognising the incredible achievement of our apprentices. The graduation ceremony is free to graduates and recognises apprentices at all levels. It provides a wonderful and important opportunity for apprentices to be recognised equally to their peers undertaking other forms of education and training, including university graduates.

The inaugural Kent and Medway event was held in 2019 at Rochester Cathedral. The 2020 and 2021 ceremonies were virtual events, but we are pleased that the next graduation ceremony will again return to Rochester Cathedral on 14th October 2022.

Approximate timings for the event are (subject to final registration numbers):

10:00-11:30am - gown collections in Quire

11:30am - Guests to assemble in Cathedral Nave & apprentice gradunands in side Nave area.

12:00 noon - Ceremony commences

02:00pm - Ceremony concludes

02:15-03:15pm - gown returns

10:45-11:45 - VIP Recepetion in Crypt by invitation (Hosted by Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce)

Employers and providers can register apprentices for the graduation! Apprentices should speak with their training provider or employer about registration, but can self-nominate/register if necessary. Further details, criteria and requirements are provided on our Registration page.
