Apprentice Graduation Kent & Medway
The Apprentice Graduation is the county's annual ceremony recognising the incredible achievement of our apprentices. The graduation ceremony is free to graduates and recognises apprentices at all levels. It provides a wonderful and important opportunity for apprentices to be recognised equally to their peers undertaking other forms of education and training, including university graduates.
The inaugural Kent and Medway event was held in 2019 at Rochester Cathedral. Due to the Coronavirus pandemic the 2020 and 2021 graduation ceremonies were a huge success as a virtual events. However in 2022 we returned to Rochester Cathedral for a record breaking formal ceremony on 14th October 2022. The 2023 ceremony smashed those records and was over-subscribed on 20th October 2023. The 2024 Ceremony takes place on 18th October and we hope to at least match 2023's graduate numbers, so don't leave registration late!
Employers and providers can nominate and register apprentices for the graduation via our easy process of initial nomination via our Registration page. Apprentices should confirm with their provider and employer if they are self-nominating and contact us before doing so.

Partners & Sponsorship
The Apprentice Graduation Kent and Medway is a partnership initiative. It is managed by a collaborative working group as detailed at Our Partners. The ceremony is a unique event in the county's education calendar and is enabled by the support of the partners and a wide range of sponsors including employers, providers and other agencies.
We are looking for sponsors to pledge an annual amount of £750, £1,500 or £2,000+ (we also have a Platinum Rate at £3,500+) in support of the 2024 ceremony, as detailed in our Sponsors' Pack. We are happy to add sponsors up to a month before the event on a tailored rate basis.

What is this event?

A graduation celebration for apprentices who have successfully completed and achieved their Apprenticeship Standard.

Why should you attend?
​
As an apprentice, employer or provider take the opportunity to be recognise and celebrate
apprenticeship achievement.

Who can be nominated?
​
Any apprentice who has completed their Apprenticeship, at any level or discipline, between
1st August 2023 and 31st July 2024 and is either Kent and Medway based or has a
Kent and Medway based provider.

Who can nominate apprentices?
​
Applicants can be nominated by their employer, apprenticeship provider or in exceptional
cases can self refer. Nominations will be verified.
Places are available on a first come, first served basis.

NOTE: When nominations are made it’s essential that all parties involved, apprentice, employer and provider are informed.
